Since 2014, I have had the honor of being a Fulbright Specialist Roster Candidate, a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and the Institute of International Education’s Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES).This program promotes linkages between US scholars and their counterparts at host institutions overseas. I am excited to announce that I was chosen by this program to implement a community-based research project with the New Zealand Prostitutes’ Collective during summer 2018. The goal of this project is to better understand how to prevent violence and trafficking in sex work as well as the ways in which legislative models enhance or impinge on sex workers’ health, safety, and well being.
